About the Artist
I was born in Essen, Germany, as the youngest in a family of two girls. My father’s profession as a mathematician was the reason we moved to the States. Although I have lived the majority of my life in Texas, I spent the extent of almost every summer in Europe. So as a complete happy accident, I discovered my love and talent of drawing and painting, at the age of thirteen one summer when I was in Europe.
Through out high school and college, I took every art class that was available to me. I’ve continued to paint and draw throughout the years, despite my various jobs. Currently, I am a highschool art teacher for the Richardson Independent School District.
I believe Audrey Hepburn said it best when she said,”I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in being strong when everything goes wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I believe in miracles.”
