Artist’s Statement
I live to draw and paint for hours straight. A little piece of heaven is to be able to take 10-12 hours straight, listen to music, and just create. My inspiration comes from people, places, nature, memories, dreams, and the simple things in my life.
Since I use my art to express myself when the right words are not available to me, many of my paintings question or make statements about society, authority, and love. My art is open to interpretation, because the symbol, abstract or otherwise, might mean something else entirely to the viewer.
Record snowfall February 2010 Dallas, TX…so I created a “conversation heart” snowman.
